Mawj Mourvèdre 2023
Mawj Mourvèdre is a rare natural Lebanese red wine produced from 100% Mourvèdre, one of the oldest red grape varieties introduced to the Levant centuries ago. Grown in an organic Mediterranean vineyard in Batroun and released in a limited production of only 3,683 bottles, this handcrafted wine reflects Mawj's philosophy of authentic, low-intervention winemaking. Fermented with indigenous yeasts, naturally stabilized, unfiltered and produced without additives, it showcases the true expression of both grape and terroir.
The wine offers a silky texture with expressive notes of dark red fruits, rounded tannins and impressive palate length. Fresh Mediterranean acidity and the influence of nearby sea breezes create an elegant, balanced wine with depth and remarkable drinkability.
Serve at 16–17°C alongside grilled beef, lamb, duck, aged cheeses or traditional Mediterranean cuisine.
